Vests have become a must-have for fall wardrobes. My very first vest was the Herringbone, and now I want every style there is. There are so many styles out there, it is hard to decide! I put together a collage of vests that are trending!

Farmhouse finds from Amazon under $50

For most of my childhood, I lived in the country. Now, I live in town and I wish I was back in the country... Don't get me wrong, living in town is very convenient, but there is no privacy what so ever. I honestly miss having only one neighbor to live by. So, to sum this post up, I want to live in the country; therefore, I put this post together for inspiration for my future farmhouse. Enjoy!

DIY Fall Hydrangea Wreath

Wreaths are a staple to adding character to your front door; it is the first thing a person sees before walking into your home. I have created a short and easy tutorial on how to make one for the fall season.
Items needed:
9 Hydrangea Flowers (OrangeCreamBurgundy) --Bought at Hobby Lobby for 50% off (Original Price: $5.99 each, Sale Price: $2.99 each)
Grapevine Wreath --Bought at Hobby Lobby (Original Price: $4.99, but I used a 40% off coupon which made the price $2.99)
Fall Leaves (optional)
Wire Cutters
Hot Glue-- I used tape, but hot glue would have been a better choice.
First Step:
You want to cut the flower stems using wire cutters; I cut them about 2 inches from the flower.

Second Step:
Now you will stick the flowers into the wreath. If you decide you want to glue the flowers on the wreath (I didn't because they stayed without glue), wait till you have the flowers arranged on the wreath. When I put all the flowers on, I had a small gap; just rearrange the flowers until they cover the whole wreath.

Third Step:
Once you have the flowers the way you like them, you will then add the leaves (optional). Like I said above, I used tape. If you have hot glue, that's what I would recommend. I didn't have hot glue, so I used what I had.
Fourth Step:
It's time to make the bow. Some people (including myself) can get frustrated when trying to make a bow because it doesn't always look the best. I included a how-to on how to make a bow below.

Fifth Step:
Add the bow and hang it up! I ended up making another bow because I wanted the ends to hang lower.

Fall Wardrobe finds from Amazon

With having Amazon Prime (which I highly recommend getting, because getting an item in two days is amazing), I always rely on Amazon to find some great deals, but I never thought about them when it come to finding clothes. One day I just decided to search for a clothing item I was wanting, and so many choices came up! I decided to put together some great pieces to share with everyone; I definitely bought some of these items while putting this blog post together. Enjoy!

Fall Must Haves 2016

Now that it is September, I am SO excited for fall!! Here are a few of my must-haves when it comes to this time of year.
  1. Autumn 3-Wick Candle. This is my first fall candle that I lit this year and I am in LOVE with it! I told my boyfriend that I may need to go get another... I'm sure in his head he thought I was absolutely crazy, because I already have six other fall candles in our spare bedroom. Anyway, Bath and Body Works is the only place that I get my candles from. These candles are on sale right now and they always have coupons for extra savings!
  2. Fall Wreath. Now that I am living on my own; I absolutely love wreaths. They add so much to your front door. I plan on making my own fall wreath this year (which I will share when I do it), but for those of you that don't have time, I highly recommend buying one to spruce up your curb appeal. Wayfair has a vast selection but they can get pricey. My go-to place is Hobby Lobby; they always have great sales.
  3. Blanket Scarf. I'm not going to lie, I have a love/hate relationship with blanket scarves. I love them because they are trendy and cute. There are multiple different colors and patterns, and when you live in Iowa, they keep you warm! The only part that I hate about them is that I am small and they are BIG. When they use the term "blanket", they mean it. So, what I end up doing is cutting a portion of the scarf off so it doesn't consume my body. The scarf I linked is from Target, and it may get added to my collection.
  4. Booties. I picked up these beauties a few weeks ago at Francesca's and I can not wait to wear them! I have decided that booties will be my best friend because they are comfortable (for the most part) and they make me a few inches taller! By the way, Francesca's offers a 10% student discount!
  5. Utility Vest. Vests in general have been very popular and they are definitely an essential for every girls' closet. The vest I linked is from Nordstrom, but if you're not looking to spend that much, you can find them everywhere! One thing to keep in mind when getting a jacket or vest, is to make sure they cinch at the waist. Otherwise, it will look boxy.
  6. Pumpkin Spice Latte. I ,personally, am not a huge pumpkin spice fan, but around this time, it's a must-try.
  7. Fall Decor. I may be biased, but Hobby Lobby is my favorite place to go to for seasonal decor. When it comes time, their seasonal items are on sale anywhere from 40-50%. This year, I am most excited about decorating outside with pumpkins and scarecrows!

Why a Blog?

I have always wanted to start a blog, but I just never got around to it. Here I am, FINALLY starting a blog and I am so excited to share this with whoever decides to read it. I didn't start this blog to become well known or make money; I started this blog to meet people and to express myself. I hope to share some life tips and to get some in return :)
